Here are a few quick tips in order to ask effective tarot (or other divination tool) questions:

smalltreeAsk open-ended questions, rather than Yes or No questions. You will get much more information about your question this way.  Also, yes/no questions are tricky because wording is so important.  For example, when I was in college, I was totally smitten with a certain man and asked if I was going to see him the next morning. I used a pendulum to get my answer, and the answer was yes.  I knew I was going to the church he goes to the next morning, and was so excited when I learned I would see him there.  I woke up extra early to get ready and arrive early so I could spend as much time as possible with him at church.  Well, he wasn’t at church that morning.  I was really hurt, confused, and disappointed.  Then, I thought back to my question and realized Read the rest of this entry »

courtcardsHello Everyone!  I’m currently writing a book on psychic tarot reading, and I thought I’d share a bit about reading the Court Cards.  Court cards can be confusing at times, and I think this is mainly because we try to pigeonhole them into the traditional meanings of young person, teenager, or adult.  Let’s open up to our psychic abilities and recognize the wealth of possibilities inherent in each court card! family_watching_tvAre you looking for a way to practice tarot reading that is easy, fun, and involves watching TV?  I just read a great idea from Sandy Anastasi’s book, Tarot Reader’s Workbook.  (If you’re looking for a tarot book, her book is excellent!)

Before you begin watching a show, choose a character and do a tarot reading for what will happen to him/her throughout the episode.  Then, watch it and see how you did!  This can also be done with movies and books.  I can’t wait to try this out!

I think it would also be helpful to do readings on shows you’ve already watched.  Then you can see how certain events are portrayed in the cards.  I do this with real-life situations as well.  If there’s something big in the news or my life that has happened, I do a reading and ask to be shown how this event would have been portrayed in a tarot reading.

Happy Tarot Reading!

annewestlundI am so THRILLED to be sharing the following interview with you!  I want to provide the best materials and resources on this site, and I am a total newbie at astrology.  Anne Westlund (that’s her friendly picture on the left) wrote to me several weeks ago, and after visiting her website and blog, I was so impressed with her knowledge of astrology and her conversational writing style that I asked her to do an interview to be published on both of our sites.  I hope you enjoy the following interview, and please check out her site, The Divine Life,  and her blog – both are filled with great information about astrology and other divination topics.  Enjoy! 1236504_cosmosEvery tarot article on this site is going to center around reading the tarot psychically.  With that mindset, it is important that we trust our own intuitive sense on what is best for each reading.  Maybe we have a set way of doing things, like shuffling the cards ourselves, and then one day have an urge to hand the cards over to the seeker to shuffle.  I think this is what makes living with psychic awareness so much fun!  Every experience is an opportunity for Read the rest of this entry »

1185531_meditation_2 (1)Chakra is a Sanskrit word that means “wheel”.  It is the term we use for the primary energy centers in our bodies.  There are 7 major chakras in the body.  Each chakra corresponds to different colors, musical sounds, organs, and physical and emotional issues.  Some people have developed their natural ability to see and experience chakras through their psychic senses.

From the side view, chakras look like cones of light with the point of the cone closest to the spine and the wider part of the cone extending several inches beyond our physical bodies in the front and the back. From the front view, chakras look like Read the rest of this entry »

1165884_water_dropsEverything in the Universe is energy.  We each have an energy field that extends beyond the boundaries of our bodies, commonly referred to as an aura.  Sometimes our auras can become weak or imbalanced due to stress, diet, our thoughts, and other influences.  We have an easy opportunity to cleanse our aura every time we take a shower.  Here’s how to do it:

1178121_little_girl_holding_horseMany of us have animals in our lives who are very important to us.  Family pets often become another member of the family, as loved and cherished as children.  There is a way that we can all communicate with our animal friends to have even deeper relationships with them.

Animals communicate via telepathy, and they have feelings and thoughts just like us.  They can communicate with us in words, pictures, feelings, and even poetry!  There are many different ways to begin communication with them, and you can use the way that feels best to you.  The following method is used by Sonya Fitzpatrick, a famous pet psychic, as well as many other animal communicators.
